See the full list of courses at the Faculty of Science on the dedicated website

The Faculty of Science offers undergraduate (BSc) and graduate (MSc, PhD) programmes in four areas:

  • Materials (Chemistry, Physics),
  • Mathematics-Computer science,
  • Plantscience-Environment (Biology, Geosciences),
  • Biomedical science.

Fourteen bachelor's degrees, some of which are taught in English, cover all the subjects that an international student will expect to find in each field. Four vocational bachelor's degrees focusing on phytosanitary management or open source software development are also available.

The strong relationship between education and research has resulted in 19 master's of science degrees in the following areas in particular: Molecular Materials for Electronics and Photonics, Signal and Image Processing, Plant Science, Actionable Intelligence, Data Science, Biomedical Sciences, Toxicology.

The 8 on-site and 4 off-campus labs make internships more accessible for the students and offer them a great opportunity to be part of top-level research projects. Each network of laboratories allows international and local students to create their own professional network and improve their curriculum through training in all scientific fields.

Testimonial

Moving to France and studying in French was very overwhelming but the students, faculty, and staff of the science department at the Université Angers were so accommodating! The Professors in PA (Applied Physics) were always willing to take time outside of class to answer any questions and my classmates were so patient in letting me join their lab groups and translating French words I didn’t understand. The administrators in charge of the exchange students in science are some of the kindest people I’ve met, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were adapting well. Attending UA was such a great experience and I really miss everyone over there!
