FAQ CeLFE DU Passerelle

• Prerequisites

  • Have completed at least a Baccalaureate or equivalent (secondary school diploma)
  • Be a non-French speaker
  • Have at least an A2 level of French language proficiency (validated)
  • Have refugee, subsidiary protection or asylum seeker status
  • Prior to enrolment, a placement test must be carried out at the Celfe

   

  Please note: The number of places is limited, not all applications will be accepted.

• Course period

  The courses are taught by teachers with university degrees in French as a foreign language (FLE). Students at each level take an exam at the end of the semester to obtain a University Diploma in French Studies.

  • 2 sessions each academic term
    session 1: from September to December
    session 2: from February to May
  • 222 hours of class per session
  •  Part of the training is done by distance learning.

• Price

  Students who are accepted into the Diplôme d'Université Passerelle are exempt from any registration fees.

• Application process

  For the September - December 2024 session, applications will be made on the e-candidat platform between March 15 and June 30, 2024.

  You will be asked to provide the following supporting documents:

  • A copy of your secondary school diploma (diploma giving access to higher education in your country, equivalent to the French baccalauréat) with its translation into French,
  • A copy of your transcripts of your secondary school diploma with its translation into French,
  • A copy of your identity papers
  • A copy of your birth certificate with its translation into French,
  • A passport photo
  • A detailed CV
  • A cover letter (rexpaining your motivation)
  • If you have one, a copy of your French proficiency test (TCF, DELF-DALF)
