Open call for applicants: BIP "Sustainable Business"

Description

This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) targets students aspiring to become professionals in environmental law, business, and sustainability, as well as faculty researchers engaged in studies related to environmental policy, sustainable development and corporate law.

lt also addresses administrative staff interested in professional development concerning climate and environmental impact within the framework of corporate social responsibility.

This BIP offers best practices aimed at transforming business operations to address climate and environmental challenges. Organised under the theme of «Sustainable Business», it integrates legal, economic, human rights, and ethical dimensions of sustainability in business.

Participants will engage with key legal frameworks, best practices, and regulatory trends shaping sustainable business operations, in alignment with the EU GREEN Alliance goals.

 

Learning objectives

  • Understand essential legal frameworks that support sustainable business practices and corporate social responsibility.
  • Explore the role of green taxation in encouraging environmentally friendly corporate behaviour.
  • Examine compliance and reporting obligations under ESG regulations.
  • Gain insights into the legal challenges and opportunities within the circular economy.
  • Comprehend the implications of international trade law for sustainable sourcing, ethical business practices, and human rights protection.

  • In-presence Period – December 1st – December 5th
  • Language of instruction: English
  • ECTS awarded for participation: 5


Admission requirements

  • 3rd year Bachelor level, Master’s or PhD level students
  • Administrative staff may also apply
  • Participants must have a minimum B1 level in English and demonstrate proof of their English level. This certificate can be issued by the applicants’ home university.

Financial support

Selected students from the University of Angers will NOT be eligible for financial support as they will not be traveling to participate in this program

An Erasmus+ Short Mobility Grant may be available for students from partner universities traveling to Angers to participate. This financial support may only be guaranteed by the selected student’s home university. 

If you are selected to participate in this program, please contact your home university’s international relations office for more information regarding financial support.
