    My research activities focus on the development of space and modelling based tools to help managers with long term monitoring of wetland habitats. Rigorous field knowledge, species requirements, identification of end-user needs including open source software solutions guide my research work.

    RESEARCH PROJECTS (ongoing)

    2019-2021: THOTh – Télédétection des régimes d’inondation des Habitats humides utilisés par les Oiseaux d’eau migrateurs en zone Tropicale. Objective: to detect habitat flood patterns used by migratory waterbird communities around and in the PNOD to assess the value of agricultural land to respond to the decline of tropical wetlands. French ambassy in Senegal and Ministry of higher education, research and innovation.

    2019-2020: MiSMATCH - Mouvement d’une eSpèce MigrATrice, le Canard siffleur (Mareca penelope), et utilisation de son Habitat : le réseau d’espaces naturels protégés est-il suffisant pour répondre aux besoins des populations d’oiseaux d’eau migratrices ? Objective: to characterize habitats used by a declining species of migratory birds to assess its use of protected areas and potentially polluted sites at different spatial and temporal scales.     2010- : Participation to the project of the Tour Valat research centre : adaptive Management of the Lagoons and Marshes on the former Camargue Saltworks site. Objective : reconversion and restoration of a former anthropized coastal site by means of a multidisciplinary and integrated approach.

    2017-2019: "Modélisation de réseaux dynamiques pour évaluer l’exposition d’habitats naturels à la pollution lumineuse". Objective : Interdisciplinary approach to evaluate the exposition of wetland habitats to artificial light at night. IXXI, Lyon.

    2018-2019: "Effect of water browning on lake ecosystem in agricultural and forest landscape". Objective: investigating the relationship between landscape characteristics, land use practices, brownification, and waterfowl.
