International strategy

Choosing to join UA is choosing to invest in your future!

Regardless of your situation, we are proud to support you in developing the academic and personal skills that will allow you to flourish wherever the future may take you.

Internationalisation is a key element in the policymaking process at the University of Angers. It includes components such as quality, visibility and attractiveness that influence all our teaching and research activities.

Our international strategy focuses on:

  • Developing inter-university cooperation.
  • Internationalising university programmes with an increasing number of courses taught in English.
  • Improving incoming and outgoing student mobility.
  • Promoting international culture within our campuses by hosting more than 120 different nationalities.

With the Bienvenue en France label, our goal is to continuously improve our international students’ stay at UA, whether they join us to study as degree-seeking students, to discover our summer schools or to learn French. Also, we believe that welcoming foreign colleagues (visiting professors and researchers from around the world) as well as promoting mobility for teaching and administration staff is essential to a successful internationalisation process.

At UA, we offer courses and programmes ranging from bachelor’s degree level to doctoral degree level, open to the largest number of people, in line with public service principles as well as the values of equity and solidarity.

Our goal is to balance our ambitions in terms of student success and employability with our mission to produce and disseminate academic knowledge adapted to new audiences.

At UA, we think of students as citizens and key players in today’s world.
