Noël PartagéDiscover local holiday traditions

UA has just launched the second edition of the initiative Noël Partagé (or Shared Xmas), which saw the light of day back in 2019.

Having observed that some international students don't go home to their families for the Christmas holidays (either because of the distance, because of the cost, or because Christmas is not a part of their culture), the International Welcome Office seized the opportunity to create bonds and build bridges across cultures and differences.

Volunteer families among UA's staff sign up to invite one or several international students to their Christmas celebrations either for dinner on 24 December or for lunch or dinner on 25 December.

International students get a rare opportunity to experience local private family traditions, which is an enriching experience and adds to their mobility experience.
For both students and families, it is also an opportunity to share and learn about other cultures, which helps boost intercultural tolerance and understanding on our campuses.

Staff can sign up on the intranet and international students can sign up on the Bienvenue website.
