If you want to benefit an room in hall of residence

As an exchange student you can benefit from a room in a University hall of residence. Yet, all rooms requested are subject to availability.

How to proceed ?
  • When filling in the application form, available online from March 20, 2017 to June 5, 2017 on the International page on the University website, you have the possibility to reserve a room in one of the university halls of residence.
  • At the same time you will have to pay compulsory fees:

    - Reservation fees (€30)
    - Room insurance (€26 - rate for 2016/2017; €27 - rate for 2017/2018)

If you can't pay online, please contact us before the deadline june 5 at : echange.international@listes.univ-angers.fr

IMPORTANT:
- Those fees are compulsory and won't be reimbursed if the student withdraw her/his mobility.
- The reservation is effective subject to  the confirmation of your application from your home university and to rooms availability. The allocation is generally on a "first-come, first-served basis".

  • If your accommodation request is accepted, we will send to you a housing contract before your arrival in Angers. The room reservation becomes effective once we receive this contract duly signed.

Finally, we remind you to read very carefully the accomodation contract before to sign it, as this contrat commit yourself to respect its terms during your stay.

Once all rooms have been allocated, we will put your name on a waiting list.

Where are located the rooms ?

The rooms we propose are located on Belle Beille.

Belle Beille campus is accessible since downtown by bus (line 1 direction "Belle Beille", line 4 direction "Atoll/Beaucouzé")

When you sign your housing contract, you accept your room and you agree that the rent is due in full for the whole period:

For the 1st semester 2017/2018 From September 1, 2017 to mid-January, 2018

For the academic year 2017/2018: From September 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018

For the second semester 2017/2018: From mid-January, 2017 to May 31, 2018

Should I bring supplies  ? (sheets, cutlery, etc..)

You can buy a laundry kit €25, including:
- 1 disposable duvet.
- 1 disposable pillow.
- 2 sheets
- 1 pillowcase

If you don't want this laundry, you should inform the residence upon your arrival.

Students need to bring their own sheets and bath towels and either bring or purchase once here their own kitchen ustensils. In case you arrive outside opening hours it is always useful to bring some basic food and drink supplies for the first day.

If you don't want to benefit an room in hall of residence

If you cannot get a room in one of the university halls of residence, a list of youth hostels or homes will be sent to you by email.

Finally, if you prefer accommodation other than halls of residence or if you prefer to rent private accommodation, contact the C.L.O.U.S. (Local Centre for School and University Services), and they will help you find suitable accommodation.
