Research summer school in medicine
The Research summer school of Angers started on Monday, July 2nd with the opening of the 3rd edition. 41 students from 20 countries in the world are taking part of this program. Some of them explain why they applied and express their feelings.
An opportunity
Rebecca and Natalia come from Australia and enjoy this international experience. They are in their 4th year studying pharmacy. Thanks to the Research summer school, they expect to learn more about the other medical professions (doctors, dentists, …). “The summer school will be an advantage over our CV in order to be different from each other”, added Rebecca.
To discover state-of-the-art technology
Alaa studies dentistry at the University of Khartoum in Sudan. Equipments over there remain old so she is impatient to manipulate with latest equipments in Angers. She is currently in her 3rd year studying and microbiology fascinates her. She is very interested in workshops devoted to this field during the Research summer school.
A short and heavy school
Carmen Lucero is in her 4th year studying medicine at the University of Complutense in Madrid. She wanted to discover various fields of research in a short time. The Research summer school matches her expectations perfectly. With more than 50 % of the program dedicated to workshops in laboratories, the summer school is oriented toward experimentation. Carmen Lucero is eager to practice in lab !
