I have graduated in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof . G. Dellepiane and Prof. C. Dell' Erba at the University of Genova, Italy, in 1997. After a short staying at the same institution, I became university assistant at Physical Chemistry, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, where I received the PhD degree in Chemistry under the mentorship of Prof. N. S. Sariciftci in 2002. After a post-doc year at the Linz Institute for Organic Solar Cells, in 2004 I joined the group Linear Conjugated Systems with Dr. J. Roncali, at CIMMA, CNRS, University of Angers, France, where I was then appointed first-class researcher. My scientific interests are the chemistry and physics of organic semiconductors.
